Welcome to the UHS Music History Site!

Welcome back, students! I trust you had a great summer... but now it's time to get back to work and your school work.  I created this website to help support your success in my course.  Here you will find information and resources to keep you on track.

Remember that it is very important to stay current with assignments and homework or it will cost you points and can possibly grow to a monsterload of work that you owe me!  You will be given some class time to work on assignments, but be aware that most students will also require a few hours outside of class to complete assignments. Assignments are part of your formative grade, counting for 20% of the total grade. Students who complete all of the homework assignments always do better on the quizzes and tests (70% of your grade) and quarterly exams (10% of your grade).  Remember that the purpose of homework and assignments is to prepare you for the test. So do your homework, please!

Please use this blog as a tool to stay "in the know" about classroom schedules, assignment deadlines, scheduled tests and other important activities. Since it's a blog, you can also post comments and ask questions right on the site. Note that all comments must be approved by me before they will appear on the site.

Note that forms and documents are being managed via Google Docs. These documents will NOT be publicly shared and are only accessible through links from this blog.

I'm looking forward to working with each and every one of you in class, and here's to a great year of great music!
